Every once in a while a musical movement comes along that is so deep and pure
that it touches you not just on a melodic level, but in a more profound way that makes you reassess your priorities. Afroganic
is a natural, unprocessed, 100% organic sound. Delve deep and you will find a beautiful contradiction: a simple yet highly
complex set of tunes that fuse African rhythms and home grown folk instruments such as pan-flutes to the sting Gunje, with
infectious bass, guitar and funky house beats.

Jeremy is a New York native who has
loved to sing since he was a young boy. His sister, Carolyn, speaks of Jeremy singing to TV commercials as a child and never
stopping from there. His early influences were Stevie Wonder,
Donny Hathaway, David Ruffin, Levi Stubbs of the 4 Tops. Later influences were Brian McKnight, Michael Jackson, Howard Hewitt
and Pebo Bryson. Currently Jeremy likes John Legend, Elliot Yamin & Justin Timberlake. Over the years Jeremy has focused on live performance, specifically R&B with a variety of musicians. Live
performance has always been close to Jeremy’s heart and something he’s always interested in doing.
As a top-line writer and vocalist, Jeremy loves to
work with producers and engineers creating music. According to Jeremy, writing the lyrics for a song is "really exciting and
you get to express a thought from start to finish, sharing your point of view".Through 2007, Jeremy worked on numreous dance music projects for producers around the world. The vast majority
of these projects being released over seas. This work led to his first two Top-40 hits in Holland, "Turn The Lights
Off" and "Physical Attraction". The lyrics for "Physical Attraction" were written by Jeremy and
recorded in a Manhattan studio.
It wouldn't be until February of 2008 when "Deep
At Night" (previously released throughout Europe by Fektive Records) would be released in North America by Nervous
Records and become a Billboard Top 10 Hit that Jeremy's success would be realized at home in the United States. In the summer of 2008, the release of “Night Moves”
in Holland was received with great enthusiasm by the European Dance Music community. The song opened Dennis Ruyer's Dance
Department on Holland's national Dance538 radio on June 11th and became a listener favorite on the playlist. http://jeremycarr.com/
LOVE OF MY LIFE
Very good. Really very good. It’s impressive what everyone can
do around the same melody. Nice arrangment, nice harmo’, nice rhythmn, all is coherent with the original melody..Very
good idea…!! |
Well apparently you can’t
call it country unless you qualify for the long list of artist essentials known only to the secret society that meets in a
clandestine location somewhere under the city of Nashville. Rumour has it that during an initiation ceremony they all drink
Jim Beans from one of Dolly Partons old rhinestone bras and although they are now several hundred in committee number, there
is always a whole cup full at the end of the passing. I like your country / pop mix here.
A true remix! That’s a direction
I never woulda thunk of… Big smile, I enjoyed picturing Mr. Carr dressed like Dwight Yoakum :)
Really nice, emotional arrangement. Background really brings out the true feeling
of the song. We need more this kind of “organic” approach here. Thumbs up!

First of all, thanks for the remix. I really like the
staggered effect against the bpm, and the overall slithery mood works nicely… but I think a harder beat dropping earlier,
would work better. Also, with that slow bpm, and the sinister mood being set, I was wanting to hear a drop in pitch for the
pella too. I’m not discounting the work you put into this, and again, the concept is great- it just needs to hit a little
harder for my taste. Also, I have to admit- when you chopped the very first line to say “Forever makin’ fake”,
I was wondering if this was going to be a dis track ;-).
I like the slowed down pace. I mean, I really like it.
:) Works wonders with duckett’s vocals - makes the track less predictable and really bloody enjoyable for me. Good
sound image you’ve built up - lots of small details going on - nicely balanced and an effective mood. Yeah, I like
this. Time to play it again. :)
You Can't Deny
Duckett: I love music, period.
from a perfectly-designed hook in a 30-sec. commercial, to Monk, to ceremonial Chindo performance and everything in between.
To use whatever I got handy to present the listener with a involving sonic landscape is my goal.

i'm trying something new :: here are some songs i recorded
in my apartment today (saturday, the 23rd of february, 2008), with mary grace eating carrots and typing on her computer in
the background. the tune "for all we know" is a "standard," written sometime 'round 1934 by a bunch o' peeps. the last two

I like the subtle textures here. Well done.
Really enjoyed this. The vocals are just bloody lovely
on their own. I think youve done just enough to put your own stamp on it and youve added some nice interesting touches.

SCARED OF MY BLOOD
holy lounge music! The retro drum machine sound reminds
me a little of the classic CompuRhythm CR-78, which was a historical advancement in drum machine technology at the time. I
really like this remix. Just maybe one small comment - in my speakers, the virtual ride cymbal seems to overpower the remainder
of the mix just a little. Overall a really nice mix! more this kind of “organic” approach here. Thumbs up!

Mr spinmeister, gday, thanks for the constructive criticism,
I love it, after a while, where only I hear the construction of the song, you tend to forget what the percentage likes, me
I love cymbals, anyway I’ve fixed it up and also re did the vocals and changed the finish. There is a group of repeative
vovals towards the end of the song that tends to through off from the original style in mind. Anyway you have a good one,
all the best John
The ride sits much better in the whole drum mix - at
least to my ears. Just one question, did you turn up the vocals relative to the whole mix in this upload? I don’t remember
them being that much in the foreground when I first listened. Is it possible that you inadvertently turned down your musical
accompaniment too much? I do like your musical arrangement and would hate to loose it in the mix. Sweet
Nice take on this just feel the arrangement to the vox
is pitchy but still a good listen.touches.
Haven_t heard any earlier version that seem all to be
fixed, but what I hear now is really pleasant. Smooth, relaxed and with a smart summer mood. Nice one!

.I’ve listened to a lot of your stuff but I always
think the same. Good but not exciting enough! You have some good skills on putting stuff together but for what it’s
worth try to put some more “off the wall” ideas in to generate interest. Don’t want to appear hyper critical
just feel if you do this you’ll get a better response..
i like! very well put together

all rights reserved — and the public domain — no rights reserved. Our licenses help you keep
your copyright while inviting certain uses of your work — a “some rights reserved” copyright.
Too often the debate over creative control tends to the extremes. At one pole is
a vision of total control — a world in which every last use of a work is regulated and in which “all rights reserved”
(and then some) is the norm. At the other end is a vision of anarchy — a world in which creators enjoy a wide range
of freedom but are left vulnerable to exploitation. Balance, compromise, and moderation — once the driving forces of
a copyright system that valued innovation and protection equally — have become endangered species.
Creative Commons is working to revive them. We use private rights to create public
goods: creative works set free for certain uses. Like the free software and open-source movements, our ends are cooperative
and community-minded, but our means are voluntary and libertarian. We work to offer creators a best-of-both-worlds way to
protect their works while encouraging certain uses of them — to declare “some rights reserved.”

Frank H Carter III has been singing for about as long as he can remember. He’s also a songwriter, a flegdling producer
and a music fan of the highest order. He’s been in countless musical groups incompassing rock, gospel, funk and R&B.
Right now, he’s doing some production work for Naya Tabia (R&B), collaborations with YSE (house & dance music) and hopefully writing jingles and whatnot for Aside Up Music. He really loves CSI:Miami and IHOP pancakes drowning in maple syrup.

A roving bit of bar-band atmosphere,with
a clubland feel. I like that roving bass line and the all the organ bits. I like the way you’ve integrated the
spoken word into the mix. I like the traditional feel you’ve got going here. I feel the sung portion of the vocal
might be brought up and made a bit more dynamic. The lighter instrumentation at 2, fading into a near-‘pella is nice. Then
you bring back up the percussion, and it’s all fresher for the break. The “in this world of nothingness”
lyric fits with the uptempo blues feel of the piece. Blues and trad gospel are so often kissing cousins, and here you’ve
crossed the feel of the two genres nicely. A nice mix.
I’ll always have time for
a nice old school blues remix. Well done indeed!

About Diane Jessurun
I'm just a woman who loves to sing...
I began my musical journey at 15 when I picked up a guitar and started experimenting with songwriting. It wasn't until
I discovered the inspiring and beautifully chilling voice of Tori Amos that I decided to see if I had a voice of my own. I
studied voice on and off for about 6 years with a private vocal coach in Southern California, took some writing and music
theory classes at my local college (Saddleback), and began studying the techniques and styles of some of my favorite singing
artists. I was the lead vocalist for a Contemporary Jazz, Samba, Blues, and Pop Cover Band for awhile. I studied those cover
songs in and out, learned a few in Portuguese and Italian and although the road was difficult, l believe that experience helped
me immensely in finding my own personal vocal style. I am currently performing live around Southern California doing Jazz
Standards and Pop. I've performed in many local Southern California venues such as the OC Pavilion, San Clemente Street Fair,
Irvine Spectrum, Bistro400, SOKA University, Sol Grill, SIDS Foundation Charity Walk, Our Place, and the Gypsy Den. I also
do some Cantoring for a church in Aliso Viejo. I've done a lot of little things here and there as far as recording projects,
had my music played on a Radio Station in Korea (see above blog) and some online Indie Stations and Podcasts. (see above blog)
I've done some great collaborations with Musicians worldwide and have won a few contests for voice and songwriting. (see above
blog). I'm a pretty down to earth person and most of the time you can catch me with a smile. I love to go dancing (Reggae
at the Sandpiper in Laguna!), hanging out with my friends, dressing up and going to the Renaissance Faire, all things Cirque
du Soleil, working-out, and I'm an addict to the TV show's Lost, House, and Survivor. I'm a witty comic (so I've been told)
and I'm also a Gemini, and I mention that only because I really believe there is some real meaning to this twins thing ;-).
My favorite food is birthday cake and I'm an Starbucks addict! If you'd like to come check me out or for booking, send
me a note, get on my mailing list, diane@dianejessurun.com, and I'll let ya' know when and where I'll be next! Thanks for
reading all this and I hope you enjoy the music! :)
